most of yesterday and the whole of today was spent owning this room again; so a trip to ikea this morning, some new furniture, and now it's all been organised and i have all of my things (and my clothes, which used to be in a closet in the other side of the house!) near me. that feels good. i will post pictures when the photo-uploading-laziness is over, at some point (just can't bear the thought of going through the 1,000 photos i took during my three weeks of travelling).
in other ways the situation is much, much worse than expected, in psychological ways more than any other. i am coping though, and i know everything will be fine. it's tough though; never realised how tough it would be. we'll get through though, as a family, and it will all make us stronger.
i'm tired, so tired. still have a cold, i'm still a bit jetlagged... eurgh.

Version

Because a picture is worth a thousand words, and I cannot describe my life better than a picture can.
And because my heaven is here, I'll wrap the world around it and live in a cocoon. Quoting from a favourite song, 'Letting the cables sleep' by Bush, in its incarnation as a remix. And I do wish the friend who introduced me to the song was here to see the way things turned out.
The photos used on this site were all taken by me and can be found on my Flickr account.
