The madness of England

So, this is what greeted me this morning as I walked into my living room...

The Spring of Snow

...and then outside my front door...

The Spring of Snow

Now, I do firmly believe that snow is incredibly pretty, but come on! I was just getting excited about spring finally being here, and now this? What country are we in where it snows in APRIL?!?
Oh well. I guess it is pretty, and it's not like it's stopping me from going somewhere, because the furthest I'm planning on going today is the library in the building next door (which is not even a separate building at all, but rather another wing of the same). Lazy, you say? Hardworking, I reply. Kinda.
And for something completely unrelated, this is why my lovely boyfriend M is also awesome:

Japanese Dinner

He can make tonkatsu and therefore we can have a full Japanese dinner. And thanks to me bringing back all of those cute little Japanese plates (crazy, yes), we can have it in Japanese crockery with Japanese chopsticks and with Japanese green tea (Houjicha) in Japanese cups kind of like those in Sushi restaurants in Japan.
Right, time to get to work.

Version

Because a picture is worth a thousand words, and I cannot describe my life better than a picture can.
And because my heaven is here, I'll wrap the world around it and live in a cocoon. Quoting from a favourite song, 'Letting the cables sleep' by Bush, in its incarnation as a remix. And I do wish the friend who introduced me to the song was here to see the way things turned out.
The photos used on this site were all taken by me and can be found on my Flickr account.
